General Information: Australian Blastomussa Wellsi coral is a beautiful addition to any reef tank.  It comes in a variety of colors including green, purple and red.   It is classified as a large polyp stony (LPS) coral that will form round, swollen discs when it grows. Due to its resemblance to mushroom anemones, Blastomussa corals are often confused with other brain and mushroom corals.  Wellsi bears some resemblance to its sister, Blastomussa Merletti, although Wellsi has much bigger polyps.  It is pretty hardy, and the colors are amazing.
